Queer Fem Fest 2024: A Heartfelt Thank You and Looking Forward to the Future
As we look back on Queer Fem Fest 2024, we are filled with gratitude for everyone who showed up, participated, and made this year’s festival an unforgettable celebration of queerness, art, and community. From the vibrant performers and insightful workshop presenters to the dedicated vendors and enthusiastic attendees, each of you brought your own unique energy and spirit, helping to shape an incredible weekend of creativity and connection.
This year’s fest was a beautiful tapestry of music, art, and activism. We kicked things off with some amazing live performances, showcasing a range of queer talents—musicians, comedians, drag artists, and dancers who lit up the stage with their passion. We were inspired by the powerful workshops on singing, digital security, linocutting and music therapy. Our vendors filled the space with a variety of goods that highlighted local, queer-owned businesses and organisations, giving us all a chance to connect, support one another, and celebrate our community’s creativity and resources.
What stood out this year was the sense of unity and joy that we all shared. Whether it was dancing together during the late-night party, learning something new in a workshop, or simply connecting over a drink at one of the vendor stalls, it was clear that Queer Fem Fest is more than just a festival—it’s a space where we can be fully ourselves and lift each other up.
We are so grateful to every single person who attended, volunteered, and contributed to making this event what it was. Your energy and support mean the world to us. Thank you for showing up, for being part of this journey, and for continuing to build our community together.
