Awareness

We prioritize creating a safe and inclusive space for everyone to celebrate their authentic selves. We believe in fostering an environment that is respectful, understanding, and free from discrimination. To ensure that everyone can enjoy the party to the fullest, please keep the following awareness guidelines in mind:

Respect Pronouns and Identities:

  • Always use the correct pronouns and gender identities of others. If you’re unsure, use gender-neutral language like “they/them” until you’re informed.
  • Respect people’s choices in how they present themselves and their gender expression.

No Discrimination or Hate Speech:

  • Discrimination, hate speech, or any form of harassment based on gender, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, religion, disability, or any other characteristic will not be tolerated.

Consent Is Key:

  • Consent is mandatory for all interactions, including dancing, physical contact, or photography. Always ask for consent and respect boundaries.
  • Be aware of signs of discomfort and immediately back off if someone expresses discomfort.

Be an Ally:

  • If you identify as an ally, show your support for the queer community by listening and learning. Be open to understanding the experiences of others.
  • Speak up if you witness any form of discrimination or harassment. Your support can make a difference.

Personal Space:

  • Respect personal space and the physical boundaries of others. It’s essential to maintain a comfortable and respectful distance when dancing or interacting.

Inclusive Language:

  • Use inclusive language that acknowledges all gender identities and expressions. Avoid making assumptions about people’s relationships or orientations.

Dress Code:

  • Dress as you feel comfortable and express your individuality. There is no specific dress code at our queer party; be yourself and wear what makes you feel fabulous.

Restroom Access:

  • Our event has gender-inclusive, accessible restrooms available. Use any restroom in the lobby of the building.

Responsible Drinking:

  • Drink responsibly and look out for one another. If you see someone in need of assistance, offer help or alert security or event staff.

Report Concerns:

  • If you experience or witness any form of harassment, discrimination, or safety concerns, please report it to event staff or security immediately.

Have Fun and Celebrate:

  • Most importantly, have fun, dance, and celebrate love and diversity! Our party is a space for joy, inclusivity, and authentic self-expression.

By following these awareness guidelines, you contribute to the creation of a welcoming and inclusive environment at our queer party, where everyone can be their true selves and celebrate without fear of judgment or discrimination. Thank you for being a part of our vibrant and accepting community!
