A protest, a reclamation & a celebration of queer liberation in the heart of Vienna
The Villa Vida Pride Block Party is a protest. We take to the streets of Spörlingasse to make queer lives visible, to resist the rollback of our rights, and to stand in solidarity with every LGBTQIA+ person in Austria and beyond. It is also a celebration: our joy is an act of defiance.
Villa Vida Café has been the foundation of Vienna’s LGBTQIA+ community for over 7 years, rooted in the Türkis Rosa Lila Villa on Linke Wienzeile. Queer spaces are not guaranteed; they are fought for. This block party is a reminder of that fight, and a reclamation of public space as our own.
Alongside the stage programme, find 20+ community booths, workshops, a sapphic art exhibit, a kids’ corner, and the legendary House of Vida Drag Show at 20:00. Show up, take up space, and be seen.

Every queer body in the street is a statement. Every flag, every dance move, every community booth is an act of defiance against erasure.
Villa Vida has stood on Linke Wienzeile since 2019 providing an open space for Vienna’s queer community despite mounting pressures. This party honours everyone who kept the doors open.
We dance, we drag, we kiss, we gather: loudly and publicly, because our existence is worth celebrating, and because those who would silence us are watching.

Kick off the weekend with a FLINTA pre-party & mini-crawl across two of 1060’s best queer spaces.
We take the streets. Spörlingasse closes to traffic and opens to community as an act of protest, solidarity, and queer liberation. Live music, drag, booths, workshops and joy, free for everyone.
The night continues at The Hive. Keep dancing with the full Pride Block Party community. Donations support the Queer Vienna Mutual Aid Fund.
All performances on the LKV Bühne (stage) at Spörlingasse. Rain or shine.
Alongside the main stage, the Pride Block Party features a full programme of workshops led by community members, activists, and educators. This is your chance to learn, connect, and grow in a safe queer space. Workshops are free or donation-based unless otherwise noted.

Spots are limited, so register early to secure your place. All workshops are free or donation-based and held in a safe, queer-affirming space.

After the block party closes at 22:00, the celebration moves to The Hive (Magdalenenstraße 2, 1060 Wien), a 15-minute walk along Linke Wienzeile from Spörlingasse.
Entry is free / donation only. Every euro donated goes directly to the Queer Vienna Mutual Aid Fund, supporting queer people in Vienna who need it most.
