ACTIVATE: Drag Makeup & Performance Workshop for Queer Teens
June 14 @ 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm CEST

Looking for a welcoming queer youth space in Vienna? Join Activate! Queer Teen Club for a special Drag Makeup & Performance Workshop led by local drag artists Annie Smokes and Madame Léa.
This free workshop invites LGBTQIA+ young people aged 14–19 to explore drag culture, creativity, self-expression, and performance in a supportive and affirming environment.
What to Expect
Participants will:
- Learn beginner-friendly drag makeup techniques
- Explore performance, confidence, and stage presence
- Discover the history and cultural significance of drag
- Experiment creatively in a supportive group setting
- Meet other queer young people from across Vienna
No previous experience is needed and all materials will be provided. No registration necessary!
This month’s Activate! session is facilitated by two familiar faces from Vienna’s queer community: Annie Smokes and Madame Léa from House of Vida. Both bring creativity, warmth, and a passion for helping young people explore self-expression in a supportive environment. Throughout the workshop, participants will have the opportunity to learn drag makeup basics, experiment with performance, and connect with other LGBTQIA+ young people in a fun and affirming space.
