In this fascinating exploration of history, mythology, and storytelling, Sacha Coward uncovers the queer narratives hidden within folklore, legends, and cultural traditions from around the world. From shape-shifting heroes and gender-defying deities to same-sex love stories and forgotten queer icons, Queer as Folklore reveals that LGBTQIA+ people have always existed and have always been part of our collective stories.

We look forward to reading, learning, and celebrating Pride Month together.

Queer Book Club Vienna: Queer as Folklore by Sacha Coward

Join us on Saturday, June 14 at 3:00 PM at Villa Vida for a special Pride Month edition of the Vienna Queer Book Club as we discuss Queer as Folklore by Sacha Coward.

Together, we will discuss the book’s themes, the power of storytelling, the role of folklore in shaping cultural identities, and what it means to reclaim queer histories that have often been erased or overlooked.

As always, everyone is welcome, whether you have finished the book, started reading it, or simply want to join the conversation.
