The Art of Drag Face with Discount Liquor
Dragalicious presents a hands-on workshop on drag makeup and persona creation led by Vienna drag artist Discount Liquor.
April 18 @ 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm CEST
Drag starts with transformation. In this workshop, you work with makeup as a tool for building character, expression, and identity. Discount Liquor shares techniques used on stage and guides participants through the process of creating a drag look while shaping the persona behind the face.
Participants explore:
• Basic drag makeup structure
• Contour and highlight for stage presence
• Eye design and dramatic expression
• Lip shapes and face framing
• Using color, texture, and exaggeration
• Developing a drag persona through visual choices
The session focuses on experimentation. Try new shapes, new ideas, and new characters. The goal centers on the exploration of craft and identity.
Participants bring:
• Their own makeup kit if available
• A mirror if possible
• Curiosity and willingness to experiment
Beginners welcome. No drag experience required.
Discount Liquor brings stage experience, humor, and a sharp artistic eye to guide participants through the process. The workshop creates a supportive space to play with transformation and creative expression.
