Sophie Labelle Talk (English)

Sophie Labelle is an internationally renowned visual artist and author from the South shore of Montréal, Canada. She is the transgender cartoonist behind Assigned Male, a webcomic about a group of queer and trans teenagers that has been running since 2014 and already touched millions of readers. During this talk, she will talk about her work and her experiences and will answer questions.
Sophie Labelle is the author of several novels, comic books, children’s books, and anonymous reviews of Broadway musicals. She is also the first out trans woman and one of the youngest people to run for office in Quebec’s history. She lives in Finland with her husband, cats, chickens and ducks.
