Queer Movie Night

Want to see what queer Vienna is making?

This movie-night is for LGBTQIA+ filmmakers to show their work, connect and discuss their artistic visions.

In August we will have the first one ever at the Villa Vida.

We will show 3 films, all shorts.

“Vow of Silence tells the story of Jade, a heartbroken composer who takes a vow of silence to win back the heart of Isis, her true love. In her struggle to reconnect with Isis, she meets Jaxson-an outgoing musician. Utilizing music, magic, and silence-Jade finds her voice in the place she least expects it.
Vow of Silence is a music-driven story, placing queer women of color at the center of the narrative. In her inability to speak-Jade communicates her pain, weakness, power, and joy through music. An original score by Be Steadwell and live music narrate Jade’s journey.”

trans_non-binary_gender_queer wie beeinflusst geschlecht unsere bewegung? körpersprache ist etwas sehr geschlechtsabhängiges und etwas sehr binäres. wie verhält es sich mit tanz als gesteigerte ausdrucksform der körpersprache? wie verändert sich unser tanzen, wenn sich das gender, dass wir performen ändert, wir eine soziale, psychische oder medizinische transition machen? welche rolle spielen gender_stereotype und die räume (spaces) in denen wir uns bewegen?

trans_non-binary_gender_queer how does gender influence our movement? body language is something gender specific and really binary. so what about dancing as an exaggerated form of body language? how changes our dancing when the gender we perform changes? when we transition socially, legally or medically? what role do gender_stereotypes and the spaces that we move in play?
