DJ Aldessa is a Roma Feminist and Activist from Romania who created a feminist manele playlist which came out after some conversations with other feminist colleagues while talking about cultural appropriation and the lack of party safe spaces. She believes that music is created in order to give a message and that it should be used as a political tool in order to change people’s mindsets.
Besides manele (which is a famous genre of music in Romania, played and produced mainly by the roma community) she also plays Balkan music.

Laszlo Farkas aka Lazlorrobot is a Hungarian media producer, DJ, and queer Roma activist. Between 2015 and 2019 he was the main organizer of the Roma LGBTQI floats for Budapest Pride. He is the founder and editor of queer Roma community-related media projects (“QRTV Europa”, “TV Baxtale“) and the radio project called “Cosmocaravan” (earlier Radio Shun.es). As a DJ, he plays in several genres and a mixture of them: electronic dance, disco, indie dance, house, tech house, Roma music, and world music.
