Mind the Breath – Bridging Science & Non-Violent Communication

Find calm and connection in challenging conversations and moments. Part of being a diverse community means navigating challenging conversations and
emotional moments. Difficult interactions can leave us tense and reactive – but mindful breathing helps us regulate and respond with care. In this interactive, science-baked workshop, we explore how stress affects the brain and
body, and how breathwork and non-violent communication (NVC) can transform conflict
into understanding.


You’ll learn to:
-Understand the basics of neuroscience of stress, tension, and negative emotions in
communication.
-Practice breathwork and meditation to regulate your nervous system in real time.
-Apply non-violent communication principles to communicate with empathy.
-Use movement and creative writing to release tension and express emotions.
-Come as you are – this session welcomes everyone seeking more peaceful, authentic
communication.

The Mindful BAse x Villa Vida Where science meets mindfulness – for awareness, connection, and community. At The Mindful BAse, we believe that mindfulness is not only a personal practice, but also a powerful way to strengthen relationships, communities, and our connection with our environment. Founded in Vienna in 2025, our mission is simple: to bring people together, foster well-being, and cultivate a community rooted in awareness, kindness, compassion and respect.

Through our collaboration with Villa Vida, we are excited to present a series of science-based mindfulness workshops designed to encourage meaningful dialogue, nurture learning and reflection for supporting the local queer community. We create spaces where ancient practices meet modern insights, offering sessions that combine yoga, meditation, neuroscience, communication tools in a safe, inclusive and inspiring space. Each workshop invites you to slow down, connect, and learn practical ways to care for yourself and others – grounded in both science and lived experience.

About Us

Adrián Klepe

Neuroscientist, certified yoga and breathwork instructor (currently teaching at Manas Yoga Studio), and NeuroMindfulness® Coach. Adrián bridges scientific knowledge with mindfulness practices to support awareness, balance and connection. At The Mindful BAse in collaboration with Villa Vida, he co-creates workshops integrating neuroscience, mindfulness, meditation, and movement to foster well-being and mindful communication within diverse community spaces.

Riccardo Trapannone

Cell- and neurobiology post-doctoral researcher, and certified sustainability expert passionate about communication and collaboration. Riccardo combines scientific insight with mindfulness and non-violent communication to design effective and mindful communication strategies, building bridges between people, communities, disciplines, and the environment. At the Mindful BAse in collaboration with Villa Vida, he co-creates experiential workshops promoting connection, empathy, and sustainable community practices.
