A place for queer, gay, lesbian, bi, pan, ace, trans, inter, non-binary, gender diverse and questioning youth in Vienna.
Activate had its first youth club meet up in October 2022 and is held on specific Sundays at 2 pm in the Villa Vida Cafe. Since then, we have held a wide range of workshops and even participated in the Villa Vida Pride Block Party.
Activate is also about getting to know other queer youth and actively trying out new things. Therefore, different experts from the community are invited and share their knowledge, experiences and energy with the Queer Teen Club. Workshops are therefore a large part of the meetings – whereby the following always applies: everyone can, nobody has to!
If you would like to take part, but have difficulties getting there or if there are other reasons that make it difficult for you to participate, you can indicate this when registering. We will then try to find a solution together!
The Queer Teen Club is run by a team of queer social workers & everyone in the team is part of the community. It is very important to us that Activate is a safe space for everyone. Activate does not accept any kind of queerphobia (trans/bi/pan etc.) – all people under the rainbow are respected in the Queer Teen Club & gender-sensitive language is respected. Racism, sexism and ableism also have no place in the Queer Teen Club.
