I know you’ve missed us over August, but don’t worry, this time next week Villa Vida will be back with all your favorite events, and even some new and exciting ones! So, sit back and relax as we take you through 9 things you can look forward to at the Villa Vida Cafe this September.

  1. Tempt your Tastebuds at the Savoury Gourmet Dinner

Let us take you on a culinary adventure to experience new and exciting flavors from the Villa Vida kitchen. The Villa Vida kitchen is delighted to present an outstanding gourmet experience featuring local, seasonal produce.

  1. Fall in love at our Heartstopper Watch Parties

We are back for season two of the iconic coming-of-age drama “Heartstopper”. Follow the twists and turns of Charlie, Nick, Elle, and Tao’s lives as they navigate life, love, and friendship. And, hey, who knows, you might even find yourself falling for someone else watching along too.

Every Thursday at 7:00 pm, starting Thursday, August 31st.

  1. Catch up with the Queer community over the best coffee in town

If you’ve ever met the owner of Villa Vida, Denise, she probably bragged to you about how good her coffee is. And we can promise you that it lives up to the hype. Insider fact: Denise is a world-class barista and has competed in international barista competitions, she REALLY knows what she’s doing. So, drop in, get yourself a delicious cup of coffee, and enjoy the ambience of our beautiful community cafe.

  1. Make new friends at the WLWien Gal Pals Game Night

The WLWien Gal Pals are bringing you a night of fun, laughs, and more. Bring your competitive streak along as we crack into some of your favorite games. This event is for queer women and is a great place to meet the community and make new gal pals.

September 8th, 5:30-9:30 pm.

  1. Unleash your inner Tina at Karaoke

Karaoke at Villa has gained somewhat of a cult following. It’s one of our favorite regular events. You’ll hear everything from karaoke classics like Tina Turner to modern queer icons like Girl in Red. Whether you’re classically trained or limit your singing to the shower, all are welcome!

Every Wednesday, 7-10 pm, starting August 30th

  1. Celebrate incredible activists at the Queer Feminist Festival

For the third year in a row, we are so excited to bring you the Queer Feminist Festival. Even within the LGBTQIA+ community, there are ways that femmes and feminine identities are devalued. We are coming together to resist patriarchy in all of its forms and to celebrate the diversity of identities that we inhabit. So join us to celebrate the diverse community of activists in Vienna. We will be looking for artists and volunteers to contribute to the festival, so watch this space!

September, Details TBA.

  1. Get in touch with your creative side at the Queer Writers Circle

Whether you’ve never written before or you’ve been writing all your life, the Queer Writers Circle is the place for you. Led by legendary resident poet Iketina, you’re in good hands for growing your creative abilities.

September 29th, 6:30-9:30 pm

  1. Cool Off with our Refreshing Cocktails in Our Garden

Is the heat getting to you? We have the perfect solution for you! Come on down to Villa and cool off in our beautiful garden patio with some of our delicious cocktails. Whether you’re a spritzer person or love a good gin and tonic, we’ve got you sorted. Feeling more adventurous? Try our bespoke cocktails, like The Josephine (named after bi-activist and icon Josephine Baker): a refreshing gin cocktail with mint, lime, pineapple rings, and soda.

  1. Kaffeegesprach gender jam

We’re shifting the dialogue! Join us for an important discussion about all things gender. Community leaders will lead our conversation as we shed light on the history of gender and trans dynamics. This is an incredible opportunity for queer folx and allies to heighten their understanding of gender. Whether you’re heavily informed already, or new to the scene, this is an event for you.

September 16th, 11-1 pm
