SUMMARY:Vernissage: JG Danso - Poetry & Art Sale
DESCRIPTION:JG Danso was born in East London to parents from Sierra Leone and Ghana. She has lived in Vienna since 2014.  \nHer work is inspired by the love\, laughs\, determination\, mistakes\, privilege and patience she experiences in navigating feminism\, lgbtqia+ visibility\, African descendant identity\, work\, motherhood and relationships. Through her poetry\, she hopes to contribute to a more multifaceted narrative on black queerness and continue to advocate for full equality. \nJG is based at Villa Vida as a resident poet.  \nLearn more about her thought process by scanning the qr code to each poem reading and following poetry updates @jgdanso on Instagram\, Facebook\, and Twitter.  \nCurrent project \nJG has collaborated with black\, queer\, and trans artists and creatives internationally to bring her poetry to life in this unique series of beautifully illustrated poetry artwork posters.  \nThe artworks are limited edition\, numbered\, signed\, framed and ready for you to enjoy at home. All illustrators have their own unique story to tell and have been paid a thankyou fee for sharing their illustration. A portion of the sales proceeds will also go to support @villavidacafe. Concept and graphic design has been developed in collaboration with queer creatives  @lavienisima \nBy buying a poetry artwork by JG Danso\, you are supporting intersectional equality focussed creative work and queer community safer spaces. \n—- \nAll proceeds from the sale of The Landlady Part 1 and the Landlady Part 2 and 20% of proceeds from all other artworks go to the Villa Vida Cafe Vienna.
