Because this is where first and second nature meet. More than that\, the dream points beyond itself and evolves. Because it is about art\, about the realm of signs and symbols\, it develops into a grand narrative that builds on the fact that man and machine are no longer pacified. In the long run\, the principle of opposites as such also disappears. Just as creativity as a guiding social value blurs the distinctions between top and bottom\, marginality and significance\, original and copy: The creative machine pushes toward a third instance of reality in which any clear boundary would be overcome.\n\nIt is primarily this hope that makes the dream of the creative machine a dream of digital modernity\, in which many spheres of life merge and the old thinking in strong distinctions\, whether between the sexes\, the genres of art\, or between humans and other living beings\, gives way to thinking in hybrid values. This hybridization has many dimensions and is usually accompanied by the ideal image of a new immediacy that bypasses any kind of intermediate instance.\n\n\n\n\nWhile Offerus deals with the concept of the cyborg\, an extension of the human being and his natural means\, in Hidéo's work it is the idea of the art machine that extends traditional artistic creative processes. In this broad field of ethics and questions of the human and the mode of action of the Anthropocene\, the artists* meet in the exploration of the Conditio Humana in the course of the formation of digital neo-modernity. To this end\, they allow an artificial intelligence programmed by Hidéo to access Offerus' paintings\, creating a new interface between man\, machine\, and expressive power.

Neben öffentlichen Lesungen und verschiedenen Beiträgen am ersten Abend der Convention geht es in einem Workshop am darauf folgenden Tag darum\, Möglichkeiten auszuloten\, das Crip Magazine als kollektive künstlerische Plattform gemeinsam weiterzuführen. \nDas Crip Magazine ist ein selbstorganisiertes Zeitschriftenprojekt. Es versteht sich als Kunstprojekt und Sammlung von Materialien zu Crip-Themen\, Kunst- und Kulturproduktion. Das Projekt bezieht sich auf die Geschichte der Behindertenrechtsbewegung und entwirft eine visuelle Kultur von Crip-Subjekten. Die Beiträge stammen zu 80% von Künstler*innen mit Behinderung und eröffnen eine selbstbestimmte und transformative Perspektive auf Body-Issues und soziale Beziehungen.  \nWährend der Wienwoche zeigt eine Ausstellung eine Auswahl an künstlerischen Arbeiten sowie bisherige Ausgaben des Crip Magazine-Projekts. In addition to public readings and performances on the first evening of the convention\, the workshop on the following day will explore ways to continue running the Crip Magazine together as a collective artistic platform.  \nCrip Magazine is a self-organized magazine project. It identifies as an art project and collection of materials on crip topics\, art\, and cultural production. The project draws from the history of the disability rights movement and creates a visual culture of crip subjects. 80% of the contributions come from artists with disabilities. It opens up a self-determined and transformative perspective on body issues and social relationships.  \nDuring Wienwoche\, an exhibition will display a selection of art works as well as previous editions of the Crip Magazine project. The redesigned barrier-free rooms of the queer community café  Villa Vida Café of the Türkis Rosa Lila Villa will be the meeting place for various groups and initiatives such as Mad and Dis_ability Mad Pride Vienna or the DISTA (Disability Studies Austria) network.  \nThe goal of the Crip Convention Vienna is to advance the networking of the queer and disability/crip art and cultural scene in Vienna. In Ihren Zeichnungen behandelte sie gesellschaftskritische und politische Themen mit einem anarchistischen und feministischen Schwerpunkt. Für die erste Ausgabe des „Crip Magazine“ 2012 zeichnete sie die „Cosmic Creatures“. Linda starb im Mai 2019 in Wien. \nLorenza Böttner († 1994) war eine chilenisch-/deutschen Künstler*in\nIn ihren Werken widersetzte sie sich den Prozessen der Entsubjektivierung und Entsexualisierung\, dem Wegsperren und Unsichtbarmachen von funktional andersartigen und Transgenderkörpern. (Paul Preciado) \nWalter Ego ist viele und doch ein anderer. Man kennt ihn als Stand-Up Comedian\, Autor\, Künstler. Er hat die Lesereihe Blumenmontag mit ins Leben gerufen\, forscht zu Kritischem Weißsein und der Verwobenheit von Rassismus\, Klasse und Gender. \nMagdalena Fischers Arbeit durchquert die Bereiche feministische Bildproduktion\, Popkultur und Aktivismus. Sie sucht nach gegen-hegemonialen Erzählungen über Wirtschaften und Gemeinschaft und arbeitet mit dem Verein FEIGE an Edutainment-Projekten aus intersektionalen feministischen Perspektiven. \nTheresia Haidlmayr\, war 1974 Teilnehmerin an der Blockade des Rings in Wien\, Aktivistin der Selbstbestimmt Leben Österreich – Bewegung. Sie war von 1994 bis 2008 Abgeordnete im österr. Nationalrat. \nRaina Hofer arbeitet in der Produktion von MAD-Dance und ist in der Türkis Rosa Lila Villa aktivistisch unterwegs. \nIanina Ilitcheva († 2016)\, alias @blutundkaffee\, war eine österreichische Autorin und Künstlerin usbekisch-russisch-nordkoreanischer Herkunft. Sie studierte Malerei und Sprachkunst in Wien. Bis zu ihrem Tod produzierte sie Texte\, Blogs\, Erzählungen\, Gedichte\, Performances und bildnerische Arbeiten. \nLin* Jannach hat ihre Masterarbeit zur Entstehungsgeschichte der Türkis Rosa Lila Villa verfasst\, war selbst im Wohnverein aktiv und begleitete dort auch die queere Jugendgruppe. \nIris Kopera ist bildende Künstlerin\, Portrait-Malerin\, Schauspielerin Moderatorin für Zukunftsplanungen und Sängerin in einer Band. Sie ist Mitarbeiterin im Selbstvertreterzentrum für Menschen mit Lernschwierigkeiten und leitet die Planung und Peer-Beratung. Sie ist künstlerisch im ATELIER 10 sowie in der BALANCE tätig. \nRick Reuther lebt in Wien\, wo er gemeinsam mit Ianina Ilitcheva am Institut für Sprachkunst studiert hat und dabei best Friends wurde\, inzwischen macht er was mit Gender\, Jugendarbeit\, Demonstrationen und Traurigkeit und kümmert sich um ihren künstlerischen Nachlass. \nVolker Schönwiese ist Teil der Gründer*innenbewegung von Selbstbestimmt Leben\, des Projekts Bidok – behinderung inklusion dokumentation\, sowie von DISTA (Disability Studies Austria) und emeritierter Univ-Prof. an der Universität Innsbruck. \nPhilmarie Theatdaggres († 2018) war ein österreichischer Autor und Theatermacher; Er gründete das „Theater der Aggressionen“ und veranstaltete „literarische Umsturzversuche“; Im Crip Magazine 01 und 02 veröffentlichte er Auszüge aus seinen „verkrüppelten Kurztexten“.
