Day DJ aims to create an ongoing platform where local DJs can grow their practice while contributing to Vienna’s queer and underground music culture. \n\n\n\nDJ Von Habicht\n\n\n\nDJ Von Habicht’s style and message are being shaped by the impressions of the queer and underground world\, as well as by the search for freedom in the deepest waves of electronic music.Through a psychedelic journey with an immersive and groovy selection of techno\, trance\, and tech house elements\, a message emerges: the search for liberation is inevitable and there is always a storytelling behind every piece of art. \n\n\n\nDJs have always played an important role in queer culture. In spaces where queer people were excluded or unsafe\, DJs helped create environments where identity\, expression\, connection\, and experimentation could exist. The focus is on new talent\, experimentation\, and community. \n\n\n\nThis is a place to build sets\, try ideas\, and connect through music. \n\n\n\nThe format is open and relaxed. You can come to listen\, work\, meet people\, or stay for the full set. The aim is to create a consistent platform where DJs grow their practice and support each other. \n\n\n\nVinzenz \n\n\n\nNew to DJing but already building a very distinct sound\, they work with a mix of flea market discoveries\, archival records\, and digital experimentation. Their collection ranges from 1920s–1980s vinyl\, with a focus on South American music\, Caribbean rhythms\, jazz\, swing\, and vintage Schlager — especially releases from Vienna Phon and Donauland. \n\n\n\nDJs have played a central role in queer culture. In spaces where queer people were excluded\, DJs created environments where identity and expression could exist. Through sound\, they shaped rooms\, built connections\, and guided shared experiences. \n\n\n\nMany of the sounds and practices that define nightlife today grew out of queer spaces. House\, disco\, and club culture were shaped by queer communities\, especially Black and Latinx scenes. \n\n\n\nDay DJ continues this history by creating space for new voices and keeping this culture active.

In spaces where queer people were excluded\, DJs created environments where identity and expression could exist. Through sound\, they shaped rooms\, built connections\, and guided shared experiences. \n\n\n\nMany of the sounds and practices that define nightlife today grew out of queer spaces. House\, disco\, and club culture were shaped by queer communities\, especially Black and Latinx scenes. \n\n\n\nDay DJ continues this history by creating space for new voices and keeping this culture active.

Every Friday\, local DJs take over the space and play daytime sets in an open\, low-pressure environment. The focus is on new talent\, experimentation\, and community. \n\n\n\nThis is not a typical club setting. You can drop in to listen\, work\, meet people\, or stay for the full set. The idea is simple: create a consistent platform where DJs can develop their sound and connect with others. \n\n\n\nDJs have always played a central role in queer culture. In spaces where queer people were excluded\, DJs built environments where identity and expression could exist. Through music\, they shaped rooms\, created connection\, and guided shared experiences. \n\n\n\nMany of the sounds that define nightlife today come from queer communities\, especially Black and Latinx scenes. House\, disco\, and club culture were not neutral developments—they were created in specific social contexts. After two joyful and high-energy nights\, we are back once again to celebrate queer creativity\, solidarity\, and collective pride. \n\n\n\nThis special evening is a collaboration between the Baden Pride Verein and Dragsau Kollektiv\, bringing together performers and organisers who believe that drag should be bold\, political\, joyful\, and accessible. The event also highlights disabled drag artists and places accessibility at the heart of the show\, creating a space where more members of our community can both perform and participate. \n\n\n\nExpect a vibrant lineup of drag performances\, powerful stage moments\, and plenty of sparkle\, all in support of Pride Baden and its ongoing work to create visible\, inclusive Pride celebrations outside of Vienna. Every donation helps support the Pride parade in Baden bei Wien and strengthens queer community organising in the region. \n\n\n\nWhether you are a long-time drag fan or simply curious to experience the magic for the first time\, come celebrate with us\, cheer for incredible performers\, and help us raise funds for Pride. \n\n\n\nMore details about performers and the programme will be announced soon. \n\n\n\nCome early\, grab a drink\, and get ready for a night of unforgettable drag\, community energy\, and Pride spirit. \n\n\n\n\n\nTo make sure everyone has a seat and enough space to move around comfortably\, we ask all guests to reserve a spot through the registration form. \n\n\n\nSeating will be arranged in cinema-style rows (not at tables) to allow clearer pathways and easier movement in the room.
