SUMMARY:POSTPONED: Selfish debut concert
DESCRIPTION:Es ist eine Reise in tiefe Innenwelten\, auf die uns Christine Josephine in ihrem Debutalbum “selfish” mitnimmt. Ihr musikalisches “Coming In” verpackt sie in persönliche Texte über die inneren Kämpfe einer Frau\, die Freiheit sucht und gleichzeitig das Loslassen so fürchtet. Der Soundtrack dazu ist emotional divers und reicht von melancholischen\, sehnsuchtsvollen Klängen über ekstatische Beschwörungen der Wutenergie hin zu einem ruhigen\, ja fast schon friedvollen Ausklang. Sphärische Handpanmelodien vermischen sich dabei mit klassischem Singer-Songwriting\, wo auch mal elektronische Beats auf dramatische Viola-da- Gamba-Harmonien treffen können. Es sind die Widersprüche\, die sich dann doch in einer gemeinsamen Erzählung treffen\, die dieses Album so besonders klingen lassen. Eine Erzählung\, die sich auch in Form eines gleichnamigen Buches findet. Die 9 Tracks des Albums finden sich als 9 Kapitel in Essayform wieder und behandeln die gleiche Thematik wie die Musik\, nämlich\, dass es alles andere als egoistisch ist\, wenn frau ihren eigenen Weg geht\, zu sich steht und sich abseits der gesellschaftlichen Norm verortet. \n\n\n\nZusammen mit ihrer Verlobten\, Pauline\, klassische Sängerin und Gambistin\, freut sich Christine nun ihre Geschichte in Form einer Lesung und eines Konzerts zu teilen.

DESCRIPTION:An exchange of experiences and tools to support intersectional queer mental health. \n\n\n\nResilience and mindfulness are very on trend; yet can make feelings of anxiety and loneliness worse. Dreams and creative writing can help us explore acceptance of our deepest thoughts\, yet anxiety can block creativity; and the gym can be intimidating and heteronormative. \n\n\n\nSo which tools and strategies work in maintaining good day-to-day mental health for intersectional queer identities? \n\n\n\nIn this workshop we will meet informally to talk through experiences of tools\, practices and strategies that help to maintain general good mental health and how we have adapted practices to meet our needs in a queer intersectional context. \n\n\n\nOpen to all interested in better mental health in queer communities. The workshop will be held in English and German. \n\n\n\nOrganised by Verein hint.wien in cooperation with Villa Vida Cafe. Facilitated by Iketina Danso in English and German. \n\n\n\nAbout the facilitator: Iketina Danso MSc has more than 20 years professional experience as a training facilitator\, intersectional human rights expert and Diversity Equity and Inclusion specialist. \n\n\n\nAs resident poet of queer community café Villa Vida (JG Danso)\, Iketina has found self-actualisation and healing through creative writing practice. She is also Chair of hint.wien\, an association working to support queer mental health through highly intersectional queer centered storytelling; and a board member of the Schwarze Frauen Community (Black Women’s Community). \n\n\n\nThis is an intersectional\, queer centered\, peer-to-peer support session and is not intended as a replacement for consultation with a qualified mental health practitioner. Because this is where first and second nature meet. More than that\, the dream points beyond itself and evolves. Because it is about art\, about the realm of signs and symbols\, it develops into a grand narrative that builds on the fact that man and machine are no longer pacified. In the long run\, the principle of opposites as such also disappears. Just as creativity as a guiding social value blurs the distinctions between top and bottom\, marginality and significance\, original and copy: The creative machine pushes toward a third instance of reality in which any clear boundary would be overcome.\n\nIt is primarily this hope that makes the dream of the creative machine a dream of digital modernity\, in which many spheres of life merge and the old thinking in strong distinctions\, whether between the sexes\, the genres of art\, or between humans and other living beings\, gives way to thinking in hybrid values. This hybridization has many dimensions and is usually accompanied by the ideal image of a new immediacy that bypasses any kind of intermediate instance.\n\n\n\n\nWhile Offerus deals with the concept of the cyborg\, an extension of the human being and his natural means\, in Hidéo's work it is the idea of the art machine that extends traditional artistic creative processes. In this broad field of ethics and questions of the human and the mode of action of the Anthropocene\, the artists* meet in the exploration of the Conditio Humana in the course of the formation of digital neo-modernity. To this end\, they allow an artificial intelligence programmed by Hidéo to access Offerus' paintings\, creating a new interface between man\, machine\, and expressive power.

DESCRIPTION:Get ready for the Fashion Exchange by dropping off your clothing in good condition! \n\n\n\n* Bring your unwanted clothing\, shoes\, and accessories \n\n\n\n– Clean and in good condition \n\n\n\n* Clothes will be rejected if they aren’t suitable to exchange \n\n\n\n( Please no undergarments or jewelry) \n\n\n\n* You can drop off your items in advance at the Cafe on May 31st from 13:00 till 20:00 A donors sign up sheet will be available at the drop-off spot. Please leave your Name\, email and amount of clothing you donated. When you arrive on the day of the event\, tokens will be giving to you. *OR you can bring your items on the June 4th\, where you will receive tokens directly for the exchange. \n\n\n\n* Maximum Clothes per person to exchange is 10 items \n\n\n\n( You are welcome to bring more as donations)
