(kino)kolekta is a Filipino nomadic film space dedicated to deconstructing cinema in communities. The name is a word play with kino = film/movie/cinema and “kinokolekta” which literally means “collecting” in Filipino. We exhibit unnamed programmed films beyond traditional cinemas\, aiming to answer the question: where do films project next? \n\n\n\nWe will be showing a total of 7 short films. \n\n\n\nThe event will be introduced by Franz Louie Domasian. Franz is a business consultant and manager\, a coffee enthusiast\, and a film producer. He is passionate about coffee and has been supporting localcoffee producers\, independent coffee shops and the localcoffee community since 2015. In 2022\, he co-founded Para Kay Dharma Studios and start producing independent short films. His debut film as a producer is “the river that never ends” directed by JT Trinidad which has won multiple awards\, notably Students Award\, JOGJA-NETPAC Asian Film Festival (2023) and Best Southeast Asian Short Film in Singapore International Film Festival (2023). \n\n\n\nAfter the screening there will be time for a discussion which will be led by Franz. \n\n\n\nThe event will be donation based with a minimum suggested donation of 10 euros.
