This is a relaxed\, low-pressure environment to share thoughts\, listen\, and connect over queer literature. \n\n\n\nAbout the Book: A Language of Limbs\n\n\n\nThe first love of a teenage girl is a powerful thing\, particularly when the object of that desire is her best friend\, also a girl. It’s the kind of power that could implode a family\, a friendship\, a life. On a quiet summer night in Newcastle\, 1972\, a choice must be to act upon these desires\, or suppress them? To live an openly queer life\, or to try desperately not to? \n\n\n\nOver the following three decades\, these two lives almost intersect in pivotal moments\, the distance between them at times drawing so thin they nearly collide. Got a favorite? Bring your own board game if you want! \n\n\n\nThis cozy afternoon is completely free and designed as a fun\, safer space for queer teens aged 14–19 to hang out\, relax\, and make new friends. 🌈 \n\n\n\nYou’re welcome to join even if you’re new; you’re queer enough\, and this is your space too. Come as you are and be part of a warm\, friendly\, and supportive community that celebrates everyone at every level of queer and questioning. \n\n\n\nExpect vibes\, snacks\, and a table full of laughter-not competition (well… maybe a little competition). \n\n\n\n✨ Activate is your monthly queer teen hangout\, a free\, supervised space where being yourself is the only rule. \n\n\n\n\n\nYou’ll be joined by our awesome trained supervisors:
🎨 Emily (she/they): obsessed with nerdy things like Magic Cards and DnD\, but also an arts-and-crafts powerhouse.
