Bekannt für seine provokativen und oft radikal-emotionalen Gedichte\, ist er Mitbegründer der Literaturzeitschrift Wienzeile\, die 1989 ins Leben gerufen wurde und als anarchistisch-avantgardistisches Medium für Literatur und Kunst in Wien bekannt ist. Die Zeitschrift setzte oft Schwerpunkte in den Bereichen Krieg\, Sexualität\, Religion und Politik\, was Frechbergers Stil und Themenwahl prägte. \n\n\n\nFrechberger hat mehrere Gedichtbände veröffentlicht\, darunter Kalt Wien (1992) und Fantasien (2001)\, und er ist für seine eigenwillige Mischung aus Palindromen\, Einzeilern und experimentellen Gedichten bekannt.
